Training

This is the Maryland required course to obtain a Handgun Qualification License to purchase a handgun. In Maryland, a person may not purchase, rent, or receive a handgun after October 1, 2013 unless they possess a valid Handgun Qualification License HQL issued by the Maryland State Police or qualify for exemption status.

Maryland has strict guidelines for qualifying for your Wear and Carry Permit, but you may be eligible.

Are you a business owner that makes regular deposits?
Are you a licensed realtor?
Does your employer desire you to be armed for security reasons?
Do you have an active Top Secret security clearance issued by the Department of Defense?
Is there a documented threat against you?
Were you a police officer in the State of Maryland or a Federal Agent assigned to Maryland with at least 10 years of service and still in good standing with your department?
Are you serving on a security team for a house of worship in which the minister is requesting security team members to be armed?
(Occupational Risk) Do you work in a profession that could jeopardize your personal safety and security? (Correctional Officers, Judges, State’s Attorney, Assistant State’s Attorney, and Elected Officials) -Threats are common in these professions, reporting and documentation will assist in your application.

Wear and Carry Permit training features a total of 16 hours of instruction (over a 2 consecutive day period) for an original application. The training will include instruction on state firearm laws, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy.

Carrying a firearm is major responsibility and liability. Get your training from trusted law enforcement professionals.

Renewal Training

We understand your Renewal Training is time sensitive, so if you are in need of this training please contact us directly by either using the Contact Us form, email: or call 443-827-1478. We will ensure you promptly into the required 8 hour class. Keeping your Wear and Carry License active is a top priority.

This course will satisfy the required eight hours of instruction for a renewal application.
As always, we will keep you up to date on any changes in the law or upcoming concerns for experienced concealed carrying citizens.

The Basics of Shooting and Proficiency
​
This six hour course is designed as a continuation of the HQL class that gives the student an opportunity to shoot their own handgun on a controlled range with experienced instructors.
This course will teach the fundamentals of marksmanship, weapons manipulation, malfunction drills, basic use of angles, weapons maintenance and various marksmanship drills.

Utah Concealed Firearms Permits (CFP) are issued to residents and non-residents who are 21 or older, have completed a firearms training course and meet other criteria. The permit is valid in 31 States to include Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia (Does not include Maryland). Application, Fingerprinting and Photographs are completed during class.

The Basic Combat AR / M4 Carbine Course is focused on improving your performance with your AR-15 / M4 weapon system. This eight hour course is designed to be both instructional and challenging for entry and intermediate level shooters.
​
This specialized training focuses on proficiency improvement, weapon manipulation, rapid target acquisition, multiple target engagement, tactical body positioning, footwork and movement.
​
Taught by Special Operations Instructors and SWAT Operators, you will receive training that is usually reserved for our Nation's Elite.

Defensive Shotgun Course

The Defensive Shotgun Course is focused on improving your performance with your personal shotgun. This eight hour course is designed to be informative, instructional and challenging for entry and intermediate level shooters. Approximately 2 hours is spent in the classroom environment with the remainder of the day on a live fire range.
This specialized training includes an overview of shotgun types, ammunition, accessories and maintenance. Students will learn basic defensive shotgun curriculum to include: stance, grip, sight alignment, weapons manipulation, rapid loading, target acquisition, multiple target engagement, tactical body positioning, footwork and movement. ​
Taught by Special Operations Instructors, you will be learning from some of the Nations BEST!

PRECISION RIFLE COURSE

Grab your tent, gear, and brace yourself for a truly incredible outdoors adventure. An awesome camping, rifle training experience in the breathtaking mountains of West Virginia. No man or woman could ask for more!!!
Ring some steel at a half mile away in the beautiful mountains of wild, wonderful West Virginia. This course is ideal for the tactical long range marksman as well as the long range rifle hunter. This is a two day course and space is limited on the firing line to maximize your trigger time.

Gear List: precision rifle with a bipod and a minimum of 300 rounds (minimum) of match grade ammunition (no magnum loads), food and water to sustain yourself for 2 full days in the mountains, cold weather gear, rain gear, one can of neon yellow (or neon orange) spray paint, ruck capable of holding all of your equipment for the day, 10 or 12 pieces of split firewood, note taking materials, hand warmers and anything else you might need for two full days of shooting in the mountains. Students who do not wish to ruck the .9 mile trail to the top can ride in a 4x4 or ATV. Don’t let the ruck discourage you!!
